NH man accused of breaking into home, assaulting young girl

CONCORD, NH (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 42-year-old New Hampshire man is facing sexual assault charges amid allegations that he broke into a Concord home and touched an 11-year-old girl.

David Mandigo, of Concord, is charged with burglary and felonious sexual assault for an incident that occurred early Friday morning.

Investigators say a woman woke up at about 3:45 a.m. to find a man in her daughter's room. The man, allegedly Mandigo, fled on foot after he was confronted by the mother.

The child was sleeping at the time of the incident and police do not believe she was injured.

The child's mother tells FOX 25 she believes Mandigo rummaged through her daughter's undergarments

"It is our belief that he did actually make contact with her so he's being charged with assault," says Lt. John Thomas.

Investigators did not elaborate on the sexual assault charges.

Mandigo has been arrested for lascivious acts in the past. His criminal history includes a 2008 case in which investigators allege he took a photo beneath a woman's dress inside a Target store, reports the Concord Patch.

Mandigo is scheduled for a Monday arraignment.
