NASHUA, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A New Hampshire elementary school has banned one popular recess game amid safety concerns.
The Nashua Telegraph reports school officials at the Charlotte Avenue Elementary School in Nashua have banned tag.
Last week, the principal posted a letter on the school's website and Facebook page, informing parents of the safety policies. That letter says the school rule for recess has always been no contact and the game of tag violates that policy.
Officials say they still want kids to run, jump, and have fun at recess, just in a safe way.
