NH authorities search for minimum security inmate

MANCHESTER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- New Hampshire police are looking for a 23-year-old minimum security inmate who failed to report to work Thursday.

The Department of Corrections says Brandon Stewart McNeil left the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester at about 8:30 a.m. He was placed on walkaway status at about 11:45 a.m.

Authorities describe McNeil as a white man, about 5'9" tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

McNeil was serving a one to three-year sentence for burglary. He was eligible for parole on March 5, 2013 and had a maximum release date of March 5, 2015.

Anyone who may have seen McNeil is asked to call local law enforcement or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
