NFL fines Brady for play during AFC Championship

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) The NFL has slapped Patriots quarterback Tom Brady with a fine for unnecessary roughness in the AFC Championship game.

NFL.com claims a source told them Brady has been fined $10,000 for sliding with his leg up as Ravens safety Ed Reed approached him during the second quarter of the Patriots' 28-13 loss. Brady's leg hit Reed in the thigh.

Brady reportedly apologized to Reed via text for the play.
