Police said a man with a gun was helping an injured man to a vehicle. When they arrived on scene, police can be heard ordering the man to put down his weapon before the gunfire begins.

Peter Fanfan, 29, was shot and killed. He was suspected of being involved in a home invasion and double shooting on Devon Street.

Police said Fanfan was on probation at the time of the shooting. He had also allegedly threatened to kill police officers in a previous incident.

There were no officers injured in the shootout.
