New technology makes visiting Salem this Halloween a bit easier

SALEM, Mass. — The Witch City is getting ready for Halloween and it’s hoping some new technology will make visiting a little bit easier.

The city of Salem is installing devices at two downtown parking garages to monitor the number of available spaces.

The Salem News reports that information will be posted online for people to see.

New crossing signals are also being installed at eight busy intersections.

Officials said they hope the devices will likely improve traffic during Halloween celebrations.
