New Hampshire company recalls plush toys due to choking hazard

Keene-based Douglas Company Inc. recalls three different stuffed animals due to potential choking hazard.

KEENE, NH — Keene-based Douglas Company Inc. has recalled its plush toys over safety concerns.

The recall includes three different stuffed animals:

Oliver the Bear

Chewie the English Bulldog

Charlotte the Fox

The company says it has received reports of the plastic eyes detaching or loosening. While no injuries have been reported, the toys should be taken away from young children and returned for a free product replacement or refund.

About 25,000 products were sold to specialty toy and gift stores nationwide from July 2014 to April 2017. The toys cost about $20.
