New court date set for Woman tied to Hernandez probe

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A  new court date has been set for a 19-year-old woman connected to the Aaron Hernandez investigation.

Jailene Diaz-Ramos was scheduled to face weapons charges in Springfield on Friday. Mass. State Police say they found a revolver in the trunk of her car during a traffic stop over the summer. She did not appear in court Friday, her attorney asked for a continuation to Jan. 3, 2014.

Meanwhile, investigators allege the gun found in Diaz-Ramos' car was used in the fatal shooting of two men in Boston's South End in 2012.

Hernandez is a person of interest in the case. Both Diaz-Ramos and Hernandez are from Bristol, Conn.

Diaz-Ramos reportedly told police that the gun belonged to a man she called "Chicago." Earlier this month, FOX 25's Ted Daniel (Watch Ted's full interview here: http://tinyurl.com/o8hrcpj) sat down with "Chicago." He told Beaudet the gun is not his.
