Nearly 200 animals removed from Lynnfield home

LYNNFIELD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The Animal Rescue League of Boston recently responded to what they describe as one of the largest hoarding situations they've seen in years at a home in Lynnfield last month.

ARL officials helped MSPCA-Angell officials remove 199 animals from the home at the end of February. They say dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles were found living in unsanitary conditions inside the home.

All of the animals were voluntarily surrendered.

The animals were taken to several shelters around the state to receive treatment and care.
