Nearly 150 turtles strand themselves on Cape Cod

In the last four weeks nearly 150 turtles have stranded themselves on Cape Cod, New England Aquarium officials report.

The turtles, suffering from hypothermia, have been moved to other hospitals because the aquarium is over capacity, officials said.

Four loggerhead turtles were flown from Massachusetts to Georgia on Monday.

Officials said loggerhead turtles stranding themselves has become a problem because they are so large.

Aquarium officials said they have seen near-record numbers of turtles stranding themselves this year.
