BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Navy veteran was allegedly attacked and left bleeding in the street right outside his Boston apartment Saturday morning.
Michael Sinnett told FOX 25 he had just been dropped off opposite his Commonwealth Avenue apartment in Audubon Circle when a car tried to run him down as he crossed the street.
The Boston University freshman said the car then turned around and parked. Three men got out and started beating him in the middle of the street leaving Sinnett unconscious.
Sinnett said he woke up later in a pool of blood. A Good Samaritan was with him and called 911. Sinnett said he was completely shocked by the whole ordeal as he recently just moved to the area and heard it was a safe place to live on campus.
Sinnett suffered a minor brain bleed during the attack and needed several staples and stitches to his head.
His doctors expect him to make a full recovery.
Sinnett said Boston police have leads in the case, but they are asking anyone with information to call police at 617-343-4200.
