National Hurricane Center director explains Hermine's hazards

BOSTON — The National Hurricane Center has been tracking Hermine since she started and are warning residents in coastal areas what to expect.

The director of the NHC, Rick Knabb, joined FOX25 Morning News live Sunday to explain what Mass. residents should be looking out for on the south coast.

Hermine has been classified as a lot of differnt things from Tropical Storm to hurricane and now post tropical.

Knabb explains what those classifications mean, how Hermine will gain strength over the warm Atlantic water and how long it'll be around.

As we're about halfway through the hurricane season, he also takes a look at what we can expect for the rest of it.
