National Grid reports more than 1,700 Foxborough customers without power

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Officials in Foxborough held an emergency meeting to provide updates on the power outage situation caused by Hurricane Sandy.

Town Manager Kevin Paicos said Tuesday that the town is "very upset" that the union line which powers the town failed again after National Grid promised to fix it during the last storm.

Just after noon Tuesday, National Grid was reporting on its power outage map that  1,708 customers in Foxborough were without power.

Paicos says this time around the town is not going to take "we're gonna fix it" for an answer. Foxborough is looking into stiffer penalties.

Selectmen have a meeting scheduled for Tuesday night.
