Natick Police help deliver a child along Route 9

NATICK (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Natick Police helped deliver a baby during the overnight hours on Route 9.

A Natick Police officer found a young couple inside a stopped car on the road at about 3 a.m. Saturday. The young woman was reportedly in advanced labor and the officer thought the couple would not make it to the hospital to give birth.

The officer called in backup and the mother gave birth to a baby girl on the side of the road. Mother and baby are both reportedly doing well.
