Nashua police investigating attempted abduction of teenage girl

NASHUA, N.H. — Police in Nashua, New Hampshire are investigating a possible attempted abduction.

On Tuesday, around 1 p.m., a teenage girl reported a man tried to pull her into his car while she was walking home. The alleged incident happened near Ash Street and West Hollis Street.

The girl was walking near her house when she noticed a car driving slowly. She said the driver passed her once, then circled back around, got out of the car, grabbed her and put her in the passenger seat. Before he could start driving away, she was able to push her way out of the car and run away.

"I think not only was she a brave kids, but she was very alert. Alert of her surroundings and the fact that she was able to respond and put herself in a position to get to safety," said Nashua Police Special Investigations Lieutenant Robert Page.

The car was reported to be a 2003-2010 blue Dodge Durango with New Hampshire plates. The driver was described as a Hispanic male in his early 30s. He had green eyes and a goatee and was seen wearing a blue hat, black shirt, black pants and black shoes.
