Nashua, NH road rage incident caught on camera

NASHUA, N.H. — Police in New Hampshire say two drivers squared off during a road rage incident Sunday morning.

A witness caught the violent confrontation on video - which is now a key part of the police investigation.

Jennifer Needham was just pulling up to the spotlight at Amherst and Henry Burke Sunday morning when chaos began unfolding outside her window.

"He was throwing his hands around, you could see, sense he was a little aggravated or angry," said Needham.

Police say the male driver and the woman behind him had some sort of altercation further down the road that exploded when both cars stopped at the light, and one car bumped the other.

"She said that the guy had backed his car into hers. So that's when she got out of the car and came up to his window," said Needham.

The video shows the tense moments that followed as the female driver flew through the air.

"You never know who you're dealing with, you never know where somebody's coming from, you never know what they're up to," said Nashua Police Lt. Carlos Camacho.

Police say drivers need to protect themselves in incidents like this - even as they try to determine if anyone will face charges. Needham says although she called 911, she wishes she could have done more.

"Thank God there was snow so that she didn't smack her head, and you know, result in fatal injury. It was just crazy, it happened out of nowhere pretty much," said Needham.

Police aren't identifying either driver - citing the active investigation. They're working to see what - if any - charges will be filed.
