NANTUCKET, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A man fishing for bluefish from the beach in Sconset instead caught a seven-foot shark which he managed to wrangle to shore.
Elliot Sudal, an employee at Nantucket Moorings, is no stranger to shark fishing. While he lived in Florida before moving to Nantucket, he frequently went shark fishing; however, he was not expecting to catch one while surfcasting Sunday night, reports The Inquirer and Mirror.
Sudal took a few pictures with the shark, which appeared to be a sandbar shark, before releasing it back into the surf alive. The shark was only out of the water for a minute or so, Sudal told the newspaper.
