Yearbook: Michael Phelps, Person of the year


FOX 25 viewers voted Michael Phelps the person of the year in the 2012 yearbook.

Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all-time, decided to end his Olympic career with the closing of the 2012 Summer Olympics.

The 27-year-old Phelps began his Olympic career at age 15. Phelps quickly became a household name as the youngest person to ever set a world swimming record with his 200-meter butterfly in 2001. Phelps would continue to smash world records for the rest of his career.

Phelps ended his career with a whopping 22 medals; 18 gold, two silver, and two bronze.
