Murder investigation underway, says Milford police

MILFORD, Mass. — A man is dead after an apparent fight in Milford and so far, police haven't released many details.

Neighbors are left wondering if they are safe after an apparent murder on North Bow Street in Milford. Although people in the area describe the multi-family home as a party house, they say nothing of this scale has ever happened there before.

Police say a man was killed in an apparent fight at a multi-family home between 3 and 4 a.m. Neighbors were awoken by sirens.

"Police had barricades set up there and down the street and I said, what the heck is going on,” said neighbor Katherine Tebeau.

Tebeau has lived two doors down from where it happened for her entire life. At 101 years old, she says she's seen her fair share of police activity around here, but the killing early Sunday morning tops everything in the past.

"Not murders, but fights. One would stab the other one and things like that, but nothing like this,” said Tebeau.

The District Attorney’s Office is not releasing many details on what transpired before that death. They are only saying they are investigating an “unattended death.”

There is no word on the manner of death, circumstances, or whether a suspect is on the loose.

Meanwhile, neighbors are left to wonder if they are safe in their homes.

"We were told by one of the policemen that there was a murder, but that's all we know,” said Tebeau.

Milford and Massachusetts State Police are investigating the killing jointly. If you have any information you’re asked to call the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
