Motorcyclist dead following one-vehicle crash on Storrow Drive

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 35-year-old motorcyclist is dead following a one-vehicle crash on Storrow Drive, east of the Bowker Overpass, Wednesday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as Jeffrey M. Kassner, of Brighton.

Mass. State Police troopers responded to the crash on the eastbound side of Storrow Drive, east of the Bowker Overpass to the Dartmouth Street Footbridge, at about 2:50 p.m.

Following an initial investigation, troopers determined Kassner struck a pole and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Brigham and Women's Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Traffic on Storrow Drive was disrupted for a period of time and was expected to be disrupted again after the evening commute to allow for further investigation.
