BRAINTREE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A 53-year-old Weymouth man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Quincy Avenue at about 11:21 p.m. on Sunday.
A witness told police that he was driving north on Quincy Avenue in the right hand lane when he saw the motorcycle behind him try to pass. When the motorcycle changed lanes, it crashed, the witness said.
The motorcyclist suffered serious head and neck injuries and was transported to South Shore Hospital. He was later transferred to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
The witness told police he didn't know how fast the motorcycle was going. A second witness told police he heard the motorcycle accelerate at a fast pace and then saw it crash on to the pavement.
The crash was under investigation.
