Mother, children rescued from Lynn fire

LYNN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A mother and her two children were rescued during fire at 11 Breed Square in Lynn early Sunday morning.

According to fire officials, firefighters responded to the three-story residence containing six apartments at about 1:53 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters rescued a 47-year-old woman, her 19-year-old son, and her 9-year-old daughter from a third floor apartment.

A Saugus firefighter was transported to a hospital for dehydration and exhaustion.

Twenty-four people were displaced as a result of the fire.

The Lynn Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal's Office say the fire doesn't appear to be suspicious, but the exact cause is still under investigation.
