Mostly sunny Sunday, highs in low 70s

FROM FOX 25 METEOROLOGIST SARAH WROBLEWSKI:

Good Sunday morning! Temperatures dropped right before sunrise and allowed for a dense fog to form across some parts of eastern Mass. This fog should lift mid-morning, and another beautiful day is on tap!

High pressure will be in control, so expect dry and bright conditions! Highs will climb into the mid-60s to low 70s. There may be a few high thin clouds across southern regions. As the day goes on, an ocean storm well off the coast inches closer.

As this storm develops in the Atlantic, the current track keeps it far enough offshore that we'll see most locations stay dry. However, we can expect some clouds increasing tonight, especially for the southeast. Winds will pick up a bit onshore, and that may enhance the cloud cover along the coast into Monday with areas of drizzle. The best chances of any showers from this passing storm will be over southeast Mass. The bulk of moisture from this storm will remain off the coast. Waves will likely pick up a bit and build to 5 to 6 ft. The further north and west you go, the brighter the skies. Temperatures on Monday will vary from the 60s under the clouds, to the 70s in western Mass. where it will be partly to mostly sunny.

This storm will continue to push away on Tuesday and we'll be in for another nice and dry week! Summer like warmth makes a comeback midweek as some areas may touch near 80! Currently the forecast keeps us dry for the first Sox game of the post season and even into the weekend!
