Morgan Freeman death hoax goes viral

The latest celebrity to fall victim to the Internet's death touch is Morgan Freeman.

Over the weekend memorials and condolences for the supposed late actor filled Twitter and Facebook.

Freeman supposedly died in some sort of accident, but that accident was different depending on whose Twitter or Facebook page you were reading.

Freeman's representative confirmed to EOnline.com that the actor was alive and well.

Freeman joins Eddie Murphy and Margaret Thatcher, who also recently suffered deaths by social media.
