More than 50 original mayors have quit Bloomberg's anti-gun group


( – An anti-gun coalition of mayors across the country appears to be struggling. Boston Mayor Tom Menino and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg were vocal supporters of the group and even shot a Super Bowl commercial for it.
The New York Post reports that the Mayors Against Illegal Guns has lost more than 50 of its original members the last few months as disenchanted leaders quit or leave office.
The director of the group told the paper that turnover is expected and that the group is still moving upward.
