Mom shares photo of pure joy as daughters go back to school

SHREWSBURY, Mass. — For many students across Massachusetts, the end of summer is full of mixed emotions. The days of relaxing and enjoy the summer are over, but school means a reunion with friends who they haven't seen in months.

For parents however, the feeling of sending the kids back to school is often one of pure joy.

Jackie Nason Fashjian posted a photo on Facebook showing just how happy she was to have her house back after a summer with her two teenage daughters, Hayley and Millaina who both attend Shrewsbury High School.

"I love spending the summer with my beautiful girls, but when fall approaches I am ready to send them off," she told Boston 25 News on Facebook. "Then when Spring approaches, I am just as happy to get them back! The grass is always greener."

More than 300 people have reacted to Jackie's photo, many commenting about the absolute happiness in her face as she jumps for joy with a bottle of wine in one hand and a glass in the other.

But not everyone was thrilled about the photo.

"[My daughters] were not at all thrilled to pose for it. Those facial expressions are legit! But now they think it's pretty cool that it is receiving so many likes and shares," Jackie said.
