Mom makes plea 4 years after son's murder

BOSTON — The Massachusetts mother of a man shot and killed outside a Charlotte, North Carolina nightclub made a plea for justice Wednesday.

"Thank God I spoke with him two days before his murder and I got to tell him how much I loved and adored him. I told him how proud I was of him," said Judith Foster.

It's been four years since Paul Anthony Fyffe Jr., 24, was shot outside Club 935 in North Carolina. There had been a college event at the club that night.

Fyffe was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Since the shooting, there have been no arrests in Fyffe's murder and the pain still consumes Foster.

"Yes I am angry at a lot of things and rightfully so," she said.

Fyffe, from Dorchester, was a student at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte at the time of his death and was a computer science and engineering major.  According to the Memories and Justice for Paul A. Fyffe, Jr., Facebook page, he was a young father and months from graduating.

His mother said he wasn't involved with drugs or any gangs, he was focused on school.

The club had many other issues following the shooting and neighbors complained about the crime that stemmed from the club.

"My son's case deserves another look simply because he's a human being," said Foster.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
