Misspelling on granite monument honoring fallen soldier

NORTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A monument in a Norton park honors a fallen a soldier, but it is being sent back because part of the inscription is misspelled.

The granite monument honors U.S. Army Master Sgt. Gregory Trent, but the word grateful is spelled incorrectly.

Park committee members say it was a complete oversight and that it was too late to send it back before the dedication on Memorial Day.

The monument will be removed and corrected in the next two weeks at no extra cost.
