WALTHAM, Mass. — Police have located a 14-year-old girl who was missing in Waltham.
Friday night around 10:30, police began searching for a missing teen with Asperger syndrome who wandered off alone. Police were concerned because Niwdeika Diaz lives in Marlborough and is not familiar with Waltham. They also said she would likely run if confronted and has a tendency to hide.

After hours of searching, Waltham Police Lt. Richard Couture told Boston 25 News that Niwdeika Diaz was found unharmed near River Street, just a few blocks from where she was last seen.

Diaz was being checked out by EMS on scene.
