ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP)— New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady figured into Sunday night's Miss America pageant, and it had nothing to do with his supermodel wife.
During the question and answer portion of the pageant, Miss Georgia Betty Cantrell was asked about deflategate in the Pats run to the Super Bowl title.
Cantrell said she's "not sure" if Brady cheated with under-inflated footballs. She said she would have to "feel" the ball, adding, "If there's any question, then yes, he cheated."
She went onto win the Miss America crown. Cantrell tells the AP it was "kind of a funky question" to ask her.
