MANCHESTER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- New Hampshire officials are asking for the public's help in finding a minimum security inmate who went missing from a Manchester transitional unit Thursday.
Victor Soto, Jr., 37, was reported missing after he was not found inside his room at the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit at about 9:30 a.m. He was not found after a search of the facility was conducted.
Soto has been placed on walkaway status. He is described as a Hispanic man, about 5'9" tall, weighing 275 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
The 37-year-old is serving up to five years for burglary. He was admitted to prison on Dec. 13, 2011 and was up for parole in February 2013. His maximum release date was Aug. 15, 2016.
