MIDDLEBORO (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 55-year-old Middleboro man is facing gun charges after police claim he drunkenly shot a dog.
Police accuse Gordon Langstrom of shooting the dog at his Pierce Street home on Saturday. Investigators learned of the shooting after receiving a call from a veterinarian who was treating the dog.
Langstrom is facing charges that include animal cruelty, improper storage of a firearm, discharging a gun within 500-feet of a building, and being intoxicated while in possession of a gun.
There is currently no word on the dog's condition.
