MANCHESTER, N.H. — First lady Michelle Obama will be at Southern New Hampshire University Thursday to campaign for Hillary Clinton.

In the wake of an ugly presidential debate Sunday night, the first lady will look to energize the Democratic base by highlighting the importance of getting out to vote.

The last day to register vote in New Hampshire is Nov. 8 in person or Oct. 28 by mail. The state offers same day registration.

Earlier this year, Bernie Sanders dominated Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire's Democratic primary, taking 60 percent of the vote to Clinton's 38 percent. While Donald Trump soared to a huge victory in the Republican primary with 35 percent of the vote.

The event at SNHU kicks off at 12:15 p.m., doors open at 9:30 a.m. at Field House in Manchester.
