DARTMOUTH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Dartmouth arrested two males for reportedly breaking into Target early Sunday morning.
Police responded to the Target around 2:30 a.m. after receiving a call from security that they were monitoring two males wearing dark clothing and masks, and the men were carrying sacks. It was reported that they had broken into the store.
Upon arrival, an officer observed that an overhead loading door had been breached. Officers then saw the men fleeing the store.
After a brief foot chase, one of the suspects was apprehended while the other hid in a nearby neighborhood. He was eventually located and arrested.
Cory Smith, 21, and Ontario Barnett, 12, both reportedly from Westport, have been charged with felony breaking and entering and vandalism. Smith also faces additional charges for possession of burglarious tools and providing a false name.
