Gjerji âGeorgeâ Pelushi, 28, allegedly promised to dismiss a court case for two people he met through common acquaintances, according to officials. An affidavit stated the two reportedly paid Pelushi thousands of dollars for his help.
During a four-month undercover investigation, police recorded phone calls and meetings between Pelushi and the two victims. Officials reported Pelushi allegedly told the victims that he was an FBI agent, promised to use his connections to help them, and claimed he helped patrol this past Boston Marathon.
Pelushi was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of impersonating a federal agent.
