Melrose man accused of robbing Dunkin' Donuts in Saugus

MELROSE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 25-year-old Melrose man was arrested Thursday for his alleged connection to a Dunkin' Donuts robbery in Saugus.

Vyacheslav Phinney is charged with armed robbery with a knife, as well as assault and battery with a knife for an alleged incident involving a witness outside the Saugus eatery.

Phinney is accused of robbing the Dunkin' Donuts on Broadway at about 2 a.m. Thursday.

There is no word on whether or not there is a connection to a series of Dunkin' Donuts robberies across the state, however police say they are looking into it.
