MBTA service to resume following Friday shutdown

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com/AP) – MBTA service will resume Friday night after being shut down all day.

All MBTA service and Amtrak service was temporarily shut down as authorities launched a massive manhunt for Boston Marathon bombing suspect #2, who was identified Friday as 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

The shutdown Friday morning came hours after suspect #1, identified as 26-year-old Tamerlan Dzhokhar, was killed in a shootout with police.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was able to get away from officers.
