MBTA police search for alleged $4k flute thief

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – MBTA transit police say they're searching for a man that walked away with a highly valued musical instrument at Park Street station.

Police said a woman put a bag containing the flute on a bench and forgot it as she boarded a Red Line train.

Then, according to police, a man grabbed the bag and boarded the next train out of the station.

The man was captured on security camera. Anyone who may recognize him is asked to call transit police at 617-222-1050.

The flute is valued at $4,000.
