MBTA: Commuter rail sees massive spike in traffic Saturday

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- MBTA officials said fans packed commuter rail trains to get into Boston for the Red Sox Rolling Rally Saturday.

Officials said each train carried about 1,500 to 2,000 commuters into the city Saturday morning. That's about four times the normal amount of commuters that take the commuter rail during peak rush hour times during the week.

MBTA officials said trains rain efficiently with minimal delays.
