MBTA announces extended Rolling Rally commuter service

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – The MBTA has announced extended commuter rail service for fans that wish to attend the Red Sox rolling rally Saturday.

The MBTA says extra inbound trains will operate in the morning and capacity will be increased along each line. Round trip tickets are $10 on the MBTA's mobile ticketing app.

It should be noted that commuter rail service will not run on lines that don't typically run on Saturdays. Those lines are Greenbush, Kingston, Needham, Fairmount and Stoughton.

The MBTA said alcohol and bikes are not allowed on trains.

Making all stops on each line, the North side departure times will be:

Trains departing Rockport at 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:45 AM

Trains departing Newburyport 6:15 AM, 7:15 AM, 8:48 AM

Trains departing Haverhill 6:00 AM, 7:15 AM, 8:15 AM

Trains departing Lowell 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM

Train departing Wilmington 7:45 AM

Trains departing Fitchburg 6:00 AM, 6:50 AM, 7:40 AM

Train departing South Acton 8:50 AM

The South/West side departure times will be:

Trains departing Worcester at 6:30am and 7:30 am

Trains departing Franklin/Forge Park 6:35am and 8:35 am

Trains departing Providence 6:35 am and 8:35 am

Trains departing Middleboro/Lakeville 6:50 am and 8:22 am
