MBTA accepting votes on map re-design competition

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – The MBTA says public voting is now open for the six finalists in the transit company's map re-design competition.

The MBTA launched the contest last spring and received dozens of entries.

A panel of experts, including the MBTA, academics, urban planners, and mapping aficionados, evaluated each of the entries against a set of criteria.

With new stations set to open in the coming year, the MBTA needs to update the current version of its transit system map.

Voting is now open to the public on mbta.com.
