Mattapan massacre trial postponed due to storm

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) The trial of a man prosecutors say killed four people and left a witness paralyzed has been postponed as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

In a statement released on Monday morning, a spokesperson for the Suffolk County District Attorney's office noted that Dwayne Moore's trial for his alleged role in Mattapan murders has been postponed for at least a day due to the storm.

A new trial began earlier this month after the sole survivor of the shooting who reversed his original statement claimed that he can identify Moore as his shooter. Moore was acquitted of the 2010 quadruple murders that included the killing of a 2-year-old boy. His fate will be up to a new jury selected in Worcester.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's officer remained open on Monday and arraignments were still being held in Suffolk Superior Court and nine district courts.
