Massachusetts teen's death under investigation

SUTTON, Mass. — The Worcester County District Attorney and State Police are investigating the death of a 15-year-old boy who killed himself after his family says he was bullied online.

Connor Tronerud is from Sutton, but was attending the Marianapolis Prep School in Thompson, Connecticut.

Connor was a sophomore at the school - he committed suicide ten days ago, and his funeral was held on Monday.

In the first line of his obituary, his family says he died after struggling with bullying from peers.

They call Connor a "dynamic, witty and unforgettable boy," who began struggling when with bullying on social media during school.

The headmaster of Marianapolis Prep released a statement saying "Whenever an issue is identified or reported, we respond swiftly and compassionately, with the safety of our students as our top priority."

The school is holding a private memorial service for Connor Saturday, and is offering counseling to students through next week.

Connor's family has set up a GoFundMe to raise money for bullying prevention.
