FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — A Massachusetts State Police trooper was injured Friday morning in a crash on the Mass Pike in Framingham that involved a tractor-trailer.
Few details have been released, but Massachusetts State Police told Boston 25 News the cruiser was hit by the tractor-trailer westbound in Framingham at the Edgell Road tank snow gate.
The force of the impact pushed the cruiser, which is a fully-marked SUV, over the guardrail and into the woods, according to state police.
The unidentified trooper was taken to UMass Medical Center in Worcester.

His condition wasn’t made available, but state police said he was conscious and alert when he was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, which was registered out of Indiana, was not injured in the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
