Mass. Senate hopefuls launch final weekend swing

BOSTON (AP) - Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown and democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren are urging supporters to work as hard as they can in the final days of the campaign to get their voters to the polls.

Warren appeared Saturday at rallies in Springfield and Boston with Gov. Deval Patrick and U.S. Rep. and civil rights leader John Lewis of Georgia.

She said Brown has not been the independent senator he claims to be, and has opposed jobs bills and equal pay for women.

Brown, at a rally in Plymouth on Saturday, said he has been one of the most bipartisan members of the Senate, and he also called on backers to help him get out the vote Tuesday.
