Mass. Lottery reveals where winning Bay State tickets were sold

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) –The Massachusetts State Lottery has revealed where the four million dollar tickets were sold in the Bay State.

Two were sold in Boston, one at City Convenience on Beacon Street and one at 7-Eleven on Washington Street. Another was sold at Galaxy Newstand on Southbridge Street in Auburn.

The final ticket was sold to Mary K. Gilmore, of Rockland, at a Tedeschi store on Union Street in Rockland.

Gilmore won a $1 million prize. She is the first of the winners to claim the Powerball second-tier prize for matching the first five numbers drawn.

Gilmore, who works as a mortgage loan officer, told lottery officials she had purchased two tickets for the drawing. She gave one of the tickets to her boss and kept the other ticket for herself. Gilmore said she plans to use her windfall to pay off the family's mortgage and her children's student loans.

The tickets had five numbers, but not the Powerball. Having all five numbers means a $1 million dollar payout for the people holding those tickets.

The big tickets in Wednesday night's massive jackpot were sold in Arizona and Missouri. The winning numbers were 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and Powerball of 6.

In total, more than 200,000 people in Massachusetts won something, so make sure to double check your tickets.
