Mass. Gov. to campaign for president in Colo.

BOSTON (AP) - Gov. Deval Patrick is returning to the campaign trail for President Barack Obama.

The Democratic governor's political committee says he will travel to Colorado on Thursday night and participate in several early voting events in Denver and Aurora during the day on Friday. He's scheduled to return to Massachusetts in the evening.

Patrick cancelled a political trip to Florida on Sunday as the powerful hybrid storm Sandy approached the northeast. He said at the time he would make a decision on other planned trips after the storm departed and damage was assessed.

Massachusetts escaped the worst and the state's utilities have said they expect all power to be restored by Thursday night.

Colorado is considered a toss-up state in the presidential race between Obama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
