(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – In a video edited by Massachusetts General Hospital, the man who was bit by a great white shark off of Ballston Beach last week says he is very lucky he and his son made it back to the beach in "one piece."
Chris Myers was swimming about 500 yards off Ballston Beach in Truro when he was bitten on both legs.
The video shows an upbeat Myers lying in a hospital bed and taking photos with staff. He thanks all the doctors and nurses that helped him recover from the attack.
Myers grew up in Boston, but now lives in Colorado. He was released from the hospital on Friday and is expected to make a full recovery.
