Mass. college student faces OUI trial in June

WOBURN, Mass. (AP) - A former Framingham State University student charged with being drunk when she crashed her car, killing another student, is scheduled to go to trial in June.

The MetroWest Daily News (http://bit.ly/YGfx6j ) reports that a judge on Wednesday scheduled Brooke Uttley's trial for June 17.

Authorities say the now 23-year-old Uttley was drunk and driving 60 miles per hour in a 25 mph zone when she crashed her car in Framingham in December 2011. Ashley Donahue of Bridgewater, a 20-year-old Framingham State sophomore who was in the back seat, was thrown from the car and killed.

The Haverhill woman is charged with vehicular homicide while driving under the influence, operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor causing serious bodily injury and driving to endanger. She has pleaded not guilty.
