Masked armed robbers make off with cash in Lowell liquor store theft

LOWELL, Mass. — Police in Lowell are on the hunt for a trio of armed robbers accused of taking off with cash from a liquor store.

Lowell Police released photos of the robbers with the hopes of someone recognizing them.

They said all three suspects wore gloves and had their faces covered. Two of them were also wearing royal blue sweatshirts.

The robbery happened around 8:45 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Liquors on Mammoth Road.

Police said at least one of the robbers was armed with a gun and robbed the owner's daughter, who was working that night.

The owner says the robbers got away with more than $1,000 cash.

The robbers fled the store and were last seen on East Meadow Road.
